It was a couple of months ago I received a call from Phil- "Hey, do you have December 16th open?" I said, "Ya, why??" "Well that's the day I'm going to propose to Angie," he said. For the next few minutes I kept excitedly repeating, "really?!" I could hear in his voice his excitement too, but could we all really keep it a secret from Angie, the hardest person to surprise?
For weeks I got text messages from Phil with photos of how the ring design was coming along, photos of the proposal location ideas, and chit-chat about how it was all going to happen. Finally, the day came. We drove up with her sister and her sister's fiance to Paso Robles, one of Angie's favorite places for the obvious reasons- great wine and great views! And we waited behind tree trunks, cameras in hand, ready for the big moment to happen. In the distance, we see Phil bring Angie up to the overlook at Still Waters Vineyards. He gets down on one knee and then in the very typical Angie fashion we hear- "are you serious babe?!" Mission accomplished!!
Below you will see a few photos from the Still Waters Vineyards winery where Phil proposed to Angie and the gorgeous ring he designed uniquely for her. The staff at the winery were amazing help for the proposal...even moving some heavy equipment out of our line of sight so we could photograph unobstructed.
When it was time to do their official engagement session weeks later in Downtown Los Angeles, Angie and Phil had the great idea to park our cars in Arts District, and walk/uber around some of their favorites spots in LA. Starting with the east river bridge, The Happy Place, Wurstkutche, a rooftop overlooking the LA skyline, Las Perlas, the Arts District Brewing Company and the water district. I love that we got to incorporate those places for them and we all had a great time exploring LA together. I will definitely be recommending this idea to future couples that want to incorporate some of their favorite date spots into their session.
Big thanks to- Monica Delsi at Buonasera Events and the staff at Still Waters Vineyard for helping coordinate their proposal and also the guy at Las Perlas who gave us some amazing mezcal to taste!
